Our Story

Antonio and Yolanda Sandonato
immigrated to America in the year 1952, coming from a tiny mountain village called Prezza in the Providence L'Aquilla in the Abruzzo region.
In Prezza, Daddy (Antonio) baked the family bread weekly in the 1 village stone oven, and Mama (Yolanda) carried water from the village fountain home in a jug on her head. They raised sheep, goats and grew their own crops, from which they made all the family food. (There were no grocery stores).
They survived poverty, famine,
and wars during those years and wanted a better life for their children.
When they arrived in America, they first lived in Boston and then moved to Niagara Falls, New York to raise their children, Clalia, Dominic, and Frances.
Our fondest memories included gathering the "Family" for dinners which they cooked for us. Sometimes up to 30 people seated at a long table for several hours of non stop eating. From Antipasto to Pasta, to Pizza and Dessert-- every dish lovingly prepared with the recipes they brought with them from Italy. They patiently taught each and every one of us those recipes we bring to you, our Guests.

We are the Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren of Antonio and Yolanda, and our promise to you is to offer you the homemade goodness of our family recipes, delivered with the quality service you deserve in a family friendly environment.
This restaurant is dedicated to the loving memory of Antonio and Yolanda Sandonato, who have passed from this world, and left for us the legacy we most treasure-- their love of good food and Family.
